I want to learn about ignition timing..

Hey my mods are in my sig, i posted before about my recent dyno run, hit 396rwhp at 16psi but A/F's were kinda lean past 6500 rpm's-probably fuel pump unable to clean up. In any case, i think i could increase power by making my ignition timing slightly more aggressive. THe PFC was sent off to SR motorsports to be tuned, so i imagine, as with most PFC's that are mailed off, the tuning is rather conservative.

THe problem is i don't have the first clue about ignition timing. Where can i find info on it? I want to understand what i'm doing before i go fooling with the PFC. Also, does anyone with a PFC know if i need a dataloggit for anything or if everything to be changed can be changed from the commander.

THanks for any and all help!
