I ordered the Greddy T78 today!

Sup guys....I took the plunge. Ordered the T78 today along w/ the Rp's custom fuel rail w/ 1600cc secondaries and sx fuel reg.
I was considering many turbos, mainly the KKK from Ray Lochead, but couldn't justify the extra $1200 for the turbo kit. I got a great deal on the T78, $3000 from Altered Atmosphere Motorsports.
Im selling my twin turbo setup(1.5yrs old w/ no shaft play) fantastic condition, Apexi intake, and 1200cc secondries on the stock fuel rail. Both the intake and 1200's are only 4months old.
Email me with offers. Don't low ball me, I won't even respond

Don't laugh guys, but I cancelled my order for the T78 and went with the stage 2 KKK single from Ray Lochead instead. I figured if Im spending the money, mine as well get the one I really want. So, it'll be here next week. I'll keep you guys posted. It supposed to be good for 540rwhp at 19lbs of boost.......we'll see

Have you read the "544 RWHP at 19 PSI" thread?

well you made a bad move (in my opinion) ...The T78 kit from Greddy is a great setup... so you think your gonna get 544rwhp on 19psi from Ray's KKK setup?? i highly doubt it...

Ernie,
Go with the T-78 or 88.
Rays setup is going to give you around the same amount of power as a T-78 with more lag.

I figure, if it turns out I made a bad decision, it won't be the first $800 I blew and prolly not the last.... When I get KDR to dyno me, I'll post the numbers and we'll really see how much it puts down. I have all the same mods as his car did, only I won't be able to push 19lbs with the power fc, prolly more like 17. More safe that way anyhow. I'll keep ya posted.

You can't run 19 psi with the Power FC?

I was talking to Dave at KDR and I think he said that Apexi ?? had a replacement for about $200 that allowed 3 bar map sensor. I could be wrong. That's what he said I needed if I wanted to run my T04e at above 20psi with a PFC.

Vosko is correct about the 17.5lbs of boost being the max. Ray Lochead and Dave(KDR) both advised against the different map sensor. It supposed to be very hard to tune for some reason.

"3-bar map sensor to hard to tune!"
That's what I don't understand about some of these so called dealers! They just don't want to take the time out to create a base map for the 3-bar map sensor. I thought they were authorised tuners! What sence does it make to go single and do all these mods then to be limited by an ecu that can't run above 17 psi. Might as well as left the stock set up in there and just use some type of extra injectors!.
We use the same basic ECU like the Power FC in the Hondas that is made by a company called Hondata and we took the time to create the maps to run the 3-bar map sensor. At least the Honda guys are getting the performance that they paid for using this ECU. Who can complain about 350 to 400 FWHP on a 1.6 litre daily driver!
I hope that Greddy and HKS take a more serious approach when they decide on who to tune and install their stand alone ECU systems!

AVC-R will and a PFC will work because the AVC-R uses its own 3BAR map sensor. basically AVC-R will only control boost and PFC will control fuel and timing if you go this route. i may have to but i am trying to keep my interior clean looking and don't want gadjets everywhere

I'm glad that somebody finally said it. I would have said something, but nobody will listen to me.

I am running 16 psi with a profec B and power fc atl east I think. My boost guage reads 14psi but the power fc reads 1.12-1.15 bar when I had it dynoed It put down 410 to the ground at 16psi so I guess it is running 16psi cause I doubt it would make that at 14psi. Which one is accurate?
