Would a 35/40 hybrid with 19cm^2 exhaust housing run out of breath on the top end or would it pull a linear pull?

Aloha fellahs
I own a diesel repair shop in Hawaii and also tinker with drift cars..just scored to FCs a S5 vert n/a and an S4 n/a.anyways I'm building the S5 right now I'm a newbie to the game but charged a couple piston cars in the past..I'm still collecting parts from friends here and there. I will be using an HX40 in my build I'll let you guys know how it turns out.any tech info on my build would be greatly appreciated.

No idea. Try it and see! That's what i'm doing. I'm thinking my hot side is too small but only time will tell. The engine i'm using it on is a "throw away" as soon as i have no2 thrash car.

100_2546.jpg?t=1306213686 A shot i took before i pulled the exhaust mani and intake to give me manifold ideas. Looks pretty small compared to what most run. I have a 12cm housing on mine which translates roughly into a .89 a/r (which is fine for what i want. Instant boost) and a 19cm housing translates into a 1.37 a/r which will have less backpressure, less heat. Bit more margin to tune with. Uh, i have no idea where your boost would come on because i'm just not into doing homework on such big snails on brotaries but full boost is going to take a while and your powerband is going to be up there in the rev range.

And here is your compressor map:

the hx35 when comparing maps and spool, is pretty much a garrett 30R.Only it spools quicker and flows a bit more...You'll see a comparison of it on the DSM forum. a 40 is pretty much a 35R..I'm doing a 9.7:1 mild street port build in my FD with an HX35 8 blade fueled by E85. My goal is close to stock twins performance and around 350-375 rwhp. I will then see if I can push up to 425 with pre turbo and port water injection. If it ends up choking up top I will see how a 40 feels or if I can get a 35/40 hybrid and billet wheel going later down the line.

I'm really thinking it should turn out something like this guys.

I think a 12cm^2 or 14cm^2 would be better suited for me I am currently building my s4 n/a keg for my first gen... going to try out some busa throttle bodies with a haltech... hoping for the best....
