My turbvo needs a rebuild badly...
I just talked to a local guy who rebuilds turbos.. he says that for the hitachi ht-18 turbo, the majority of to4 parts don't fit! He said the bearings might, but the carbon seal, rings, thrust plate, etc, won't fit.
He said to dissasemble it, and bring it in to see what they could match up.
The thing is, I don't know a lot about the internals of turbos, so I don't even know what I need!
My turbo spins fine, has no bent fins, doesn't have a bent shaft, it just has a lot of in-out, and side play and is leaking oil. (smoke!)

So- what parts do I need?? What seals? Bearings? Whatever.. like I said, I dont' know much about the internals.
