i have a gr63 single turbo.. just wondering how much shaft play there should be or is acceptible..... my moves just slightly... nothing really sloppy or anything... but i can wiggle it just a little... there is about 9k on the turbo.... i bought it off of "kyro-2"

 

You're supposed to have a little play, this is wear the oil takes up the space. But not enough that it scrapes the sides.

 

Yeah i checked it out for ya before i sent it to you dont worry its supposed to move slightly

 

side to side with a dial gauge indicator should be no more that .004 of an inch and axial play should be .0015 or less of the two axial play is the most worrisome as it is your thrust bearing, the side to side is the sleeve bearings on the sides, and oil pressure will stabilize that during operation.
