How much hp will the stock rear assembly handle?

just wondering when to start looking towards upgrading, i'd kinda like to be prepared for it rather than blowing my rear end all over a track and having the car towed home.

i already have toe links, control arms, ppf, and diff brace...are the 300M axles worth while? a kaaz? or should i just look into a Ford rear end.

looking to make at least 550+rwhp and run drag radials on the street and hopefully slicks at the track.

550+ hp will definitely explode your stock diff. Ive never heard of anyone blowing up a Kaaz, but normally after you upgrade the diff, the axles are the next weakest link. A ford rear end would be the easy way out and near-bulletproof....but then you can kiss your handling goodbye and be ready for a shitload of flameage.

you can put a 9 in ford with independent. They do it with Shelby cobra replicas, the disc is inbound. by the diff.

That would be cool.

But Vosko, it seems that not too many people launch as hard as you do. I rarely hear of people breaking as much stuff as you did. You are the launch monster!!

Vosko - did you break most of that stuff launching or just rolling into it on the street from a kick or whatever

So what the limit on the stock TII rear end. I'm getting a Kaaz for it, but for now, what's the limit?

Can't be 100% certain, but I believe that's a Jag rear end you are describing. They may mix and match components....

SO the S4 & S5 diffs are different in TII's? I've always been led to believe they were the same.
