How much hp can u safely get out of a 13b engine with aftermarket turbo...what kind of boost would it be running...and how bad would the lag be

Any particular turbocharger suggestions would be appreciated.

What do you want to use the car for? How much HP ($$) do you really want? What is your definition of safe?

There are many, many threads about this very subject. Several are even listed on the first page of the Single Turbo section right now. Do some research and then post if you have unanswered questions.

Probably none cause you dont know anything about the engine or tuning and your going to blow it up pretty quick

A GT35R running 12psi on the Pro Mazda (Which has the 13B Renesis motor) would get you over 350RWHP and weigh 1600lbs and spool fast.

define "uber fast"

What rpms is uber fast, I think 3000rpms is great.

A 60-1 would prob be a good turbo that should spool nice

Yeah, you don't need (or want, for quick-spool reasons) a large turbo for that goal. And you should be able to make 350 RWHP pretty reliably.

I've heard of people that've goten 500hp outa their stock motor, but I really think that would be the limit right there. Anything after that expect to bust out the doe

http://www.starmazda.com/promazda.htm

This is the pro Mazda. It uses the same engine as the RX-8, a 2 rotor 1.3L. It weighs 1090lbs. That gives you 500lbs to play with for the turbo system and still be under 1600 lbs. How would it weigh 1600lbs for just the engine and turbocharger?
