How Long? (Oil Feed and Return Lines)

I order my T04R, Manifold, and Wastegate yesterday and need to get my oil lines. I am getting a -3 AN feed line and a -10 AN return line. So now that I have all this figured out I have 3 questions:

What lengths I should get for each of the oil lines?

Also, I have noticed that the stock turbos have two return lines that lead to two places on the engine, one on the front and one on the back. Which of these do I use for the single turbo return?

And what do I need to do to get fitting on the stock oil places on the engine? (Do I need to tap them or are they already threaded?)

Thanks

Yee Haw!! Another TO4R!!

If you are using the stock hardline that runs across the block for your feed, you'll need 6-8 inches. For the return, you should use the one on the front of the block. Jason has a block off plate at the rx7store for the rear one. You can use the adapter that goes from the stock turbos to the block. Basically a piece of pipe with a flange on each end. Then just cut off the one that went to the turbo and slip the return line on there and clamp her down. I think it's like 6". I always get extra just in case I under measured!

When you ask about getting the fitting on the stock oil places on the engine... What exactly do you mean? If you want to run the feed line all the way across the block (Eliminating the hard line) you'll need 18 inches of line. I don't know what line you are running, and if you are using earls fittings or not... But the thread pattern for the hole in the top of the block is 14mm X 1.5. I have a complete list of part numbers to make a feed line to run across the block to the turbo using braided line and nice earls fitting if you are interested... About 75 bucks..

Thanks alot for the info. When I was talking about the stock oil places on the engine, I meant like where the oil return goes into the engine. I didn't realize that I could just use the same end that was on the stock turbos. So problem solved. I am planning on running it from the stock hardline on the feed line. This is going to be alot cheaper than I thought to do all the oil lines and stuff.

I can't wait for my turbo to get here. It is a Polished, HPC Coated, and Watercooled T04R w/ .84 A/R and P-Trim Wheel. Got the HKS Cast Manifold, and HKS 50mm Wastgate.

Very nice!! Mine isn't watercooled, but oh well. Good luck with your project!

Wait untill You get the mani as each Mnai will place the turbo in a different spot. You are still going to need fittings from the stock hard line to the turbo feed.
