HKS wastegate /w AVC-r - help
i have an HKS wastegate and i am wondering how i am supposed to run the vac lines to the wastegate and the avc-r. I have a t04r with an hks cast manifold.
The wastegate has 2 nipples, 1 on top and 1 on the side. the avcr has 3 nipples. one on each side for external wastegates & one on the front and side for internal wastegates. (am i correct???). I was running an internal wastegate and i have not switched the nipple on the avc-r acctuator. which one do i switch? and what vac lines should be run where?
thanx

I have an HKS Wastegate and an AVC-R. THe two nipples on the AVC-R should be on the sides, with the bottom one open. When looking at the top of the solenoid (no hole) and the base towards your body, I have a line coming from the manifold that T's, one side to the side wastegate nipple and one to the left solenoid nipple. The nipple on the right of the solenoid goes to the top wastegate nipple. That is my setup, and last time I checked the manual it was right...
P.S. my car is for sale...

Look at the diagrams for the AVC-R solenoid. The basic idea is that you want full manifold pressure to the wastegate's side port, and alternating vent or pressure to the top port, controlled by the solenoid.
Blow into the three ports on the solenoid with the connector disconnected. The one port that you can't blow through should be connected to the manifold pressure (it was on the side opposite of where the wires come out of the top on mine). The wastegate top port should be connected to the nipple on the opposite side that you connected the manifold pressure to.

Edit: My ASCII art didn't come out too well, but I hope it is clear enough.
