Question HKS wastegate spring issue?

question I have a 20pound spring I believe I was boosting 20 when I bought it but bought a 14.2pound spring my question is the harder the spring the less boost or the less spring less boost. cuz the spring I had removed is lighter than the new spring which stiffer.

The spring holds valve closed, the heaver the spring the more pressure is required to open it.

More I would assume. The wastegate bypasses exhaust gasses around the turbo, thus keeping the turbo from boosting more. So if there is a softer spring, it would mean less exhaust pressure would get it to pop, and retroute the exhaust.
