HKS TO4E or BLITZ K27??

I've found both of these turbos, 2nd hand for pretty good prices (approx US$350).

Wondering which one I should get for my TII?
I will be getting a FMIC, computer, turbo manifold, bigger injectors etc..
The block will stay stock in in the short-term.

Im not yet sure on the specs of the TO4Es (there are 2).
Also, are all Blitz K27's the same?

What are ppl's experiences with either of these turbos?

thanks in advance
Daniel

I have the T04E and my car on stock ports did 372hp
If I had more fuel I could have easy pushed it over 400
as my dyno run way at 12psi and my injectors where at 98% duty.

im going to change to 2 720's and 2 1600's and give a run again at 16 - 18 psi and see what kinda numbers the stock motor can give.

HKS makes alot of T04 kits..

Turbo7: Is this the T04E they put out for the 2nd gen TII RX-7??

If so, it can do ~350RWHP.. I have one

Mine is a .50 Compressor and .84 Turbine..

Unfortunately the K27 was sold an hour before I went to look at it.

Zach: does your TO4E have an internal wastegate?

The TO4E that he had left had a .50 compressor, im not sure about the turbine.

If this is the one you have, what do you think about it?

How much power are you making with it and with what mods?

thanks

Daniel

Yes it has an internal wastegate... and .84 turbine..

I am still building my car. So i have not run it..

But it should have boost early and a very nice mid section.. It should be able to hold at least 15Psi to readline on a 13B too..

So it is worth buying if it is in good condition?

Also, it doesn't fit on the factory manifold does it?

Looks just like the hitatchi.. but it is a t04 on the exhaust inlet.. It requires a T04 manifold..

that looks like the stock turbo upgraded. but I could be wrong. that looks like a hybread turbo with T04 parts added on.

im not saying to be a butt, but I have never heard of T04E with an interal wastegate.

87GTR: Well that is my turbo. And it says on the turbine housing T04E and also on the compressor side.. T04E's with interal wastegates are not very common, but they do exist..

FCC5: Do you have a dyno map of it on your car? When does it build boost?

Thanks,
-Zach

But honorable 87GTR, I have learned from you and RXTASY from the TEAMFC3s forum. My Turbo is actually a step up from the stock set-up. It's capable of 350 BHP

FCC5: Do you have a dyno sheet for the HKS turbo? I am interested in what it looks like.

Also when does the boost come on?

Thanks,
-Zach
