so i guess it means thats its emissions compliant like all the other kits.

so the kit from hks is supposed to be cheaper than the T51R kit then?

if you cant get a manifold and wastegat for less than the kit price you are getting ripped a new one!
plus they only make em for FD's the kit's at least i am sure the turbine by itself is way over 1800!

this turbo seems nice... $5600 is too much though, I rather pay the $3550. The same old crap foam filters. I like the new metal flow filter by hks.

Ok guys here is the info, just wanted to make sure you guys get all your Q's answerd right away.

Here are the specs on the turbo that we will be using. Keep in mind that you can go to a smaller .82 A/R which will spool a little quicker but drop peak horsepower down.

1.06a/r Turbine Housing, single entry, 4-bolt outlet
84 Trim Turbine Wheel, 2.45/2.68
Water cooled GT centre housing
0.70a/r Compressor Housing, 4' Inlet, 2.5' Outlet
56 Trim Compressor Wheel, 60lbs/min flow, 2.41/3.22

The turbo makes postive boost by 2400RPM, 7PSI by 2800RPM and 14.7PSI by 3500RPM. At that setting it makes around 405 horsepower at the wheels at 14.7PSI. Hope that helps. Keep in touch and let me know what you guys think.

Do you have any pics of this dyno? I want to see it, it sounds sweet, but I want to know if there is a high end drop off anywhere? This sounds like a great kit.

Sean,

Are you running PFC with this kit? If you do, do you have map for it. I am also thinking of going single, Steve O, are you gonna have a dyno session for this coming summer?

What injectors are you using with this kit? Is it available to anyone? What wastegate? Is a BOV included?

Sean,

I pretty much max up my inj. duty cycle. So it is time to join the big boy. However, I am running PFC and I seriouly thought about the TO4S kit since map can easily be have afrom XS. So let me know if anyone who is getting the R from you willing to share their PFC map!

why not order a manifold from Florida south side performance for $500, put this turbo on it: $1350
http://www.xs-engineering.com/turbocharger_to4x2.html
buy a wastgate and flange from HKS for about $1000 order a T-band front pipe clamp kit from turbonetics for $100, buy $50 wort of pipe and a $20 flange and make your own front pipe, go to summit racing and get some -4 hose and fittings for the oil in line and some -12 for the oil drain $70 or so, and then fabricate your intercooler piping $50 and maybe anouter $100 in little stuff and wala turbo kit for around $3200 that will kick some serious ***...

The only problem with that is that most people would prefer to let someone else do all the leg work(most don't want to make their own downpipe and deal with fitment issues or having to find all the hardware)you and I and a few others enjoy the process(engineering),alot of people just want the results, not to mention with that idea you get no one for customer support should you come across any issues, what I have offered will bolt right up. I basically went through all those headaches for you with this and will be able to walk you through it should a problem that you have arise. There will be options as well to allow you to have it tailored to your needs.Again it's a steal when you concider what HKS want's for theirs, as you can see by the price you listed after you consider the labor and cost of manufacturing I will be making next to nothing. I just want to share a good kit at a good price for all.

ditto..piecing together a turbo kit and finding all the right pieces and having a downpie bent for you is a big pain..kits are are sold for that exact purpose...i have seen Meloco's kit and i can say its top notch

i will soon have one on my car!

Tru that! I have lots of tools, welders, cut off saws, air compressor and air tools and I love to fabricate things. Having every thing just bolt on is a great thing and would save major time and you wouldn't have to pay sombody to do the fabrication and that would probably add to the cost big time...

I still think that To4X2 is a sexy turbo though..
But it actually looks about the same size as an R.. anybody know what compressor wheel that is?
