HKS manifold / turbo recommendation

Hey guys

I am currently running a Greddy TD06SH-20G turbo kit on my FD, and it is getting near the end of its life. It has a cracked header, and the wastegate hits the subframe occasionally...very annoying. This is an aftermarket wastegate setup that was somewhat of a hack job - not the original Greddy setup.

I am hoping to get a recommendation for a turbo that will fit without any cutting of the stock inner fenders, strut areas, etc., when using the HKS cast iron manifold.

Currently I am dynoing 320 RWHP (Dynojet) at 10-11 psi, but the power starts falling at 7100 (though boost remains constant). I'd like to get into the 15 psi range, but the TD06 turbo is pretty much out of breath at high rpms, so I want something slightly larger.

currently on the car:
Pineapple racing street port
Supra Fuel pump
550/1600 injectors
PFS intercooler

Thanks!

you currently have fuel injector capacity for 400 rwhp figured at a conservative 10.0 to 1 AFR.

this does not take into account flow losses from filters and lines so it isn't as conservative as you might think.

fuel injector capacity matches up at 53 pounds per minute with my conservative (no blown motors) assumptions so your turbo options which are primarily GT35 type sized compressors will deliver 20 to 25% flow above your present fuel.

my Rule 1 is

fuel capacity MUST equal or exceed maximum turbo output.

it seems there are numerous board members rolling the dice here and if they get a stuck wastegate they do risk motor failure...

if you go to the typical 60/62 inducer turbo you will need more injector... see my sticky thread in the Single Turbo Section entitled: "How to: Fuel Injector Sizing." also i suggest you check out "Fuel Pumps 2014" w re to your Supra pump.

The BW turbos will not fit without modification. The precision 58-67mm turbos should all fit along with all the Garrett To4 series.

thanks for the replies, all.

djseven - I was really wanting a BW turbo, but thanks for clarifying that they are not drop-in WRT cutting the body.

Howard - thanks for the recommendations. I am more of a reader than a poster on here and I appreciate all the insight you have provided on this forum.
I have the option of going to 850cc primaries, but that would mean significant re-tuning, plus the driveability issues of 850's...this is still a street car - I never take it to the track. I would be happy with 400 RWHP, and that is my target (should have mentioned that in my initial post).

Turblown - tell me something good - do you know if the TDX61R a bolt in with the HKS manifold? If not, what specifically would need to be modified? I assume your tubular manifolds don't require cutting...correct? The numbers that the 61 puts up are awesome!
