Help!
so were down-sizing on the turbo we had (junk ebay GT-45) and i have a problem routing the oil return line from the turbo. the only way i was able to run it was with a 45* off the turbo the -10an to a small 8" loop up to a 90* bend to the original tube that comes off the block.I KNOW this is oil return disaster, but does the oil pump suck the oil? if so that would be "OK" for now right? were running a spare turbo for now just to see if thats what he (step dad) wants, then he is buying a REAL Garret turbo when he gets his Haltech in the next couple weeks. so its VERY temporary, only 1 month the longest
but i need your help as im "IN THE PROCESS RIGHT NOW" thanks in advance..
P.S. phone died but WILL put pics ASAP!
the guy previous ran a 8" braided hose with a 45* -10 an fitting off the turbo, but then the line sorta hooked like a 180* bend (i said "loop") and up like a 1.5" and to a 90* -10an elbow to the stock tube that returned to block. What i did was install a 1/2 in npt fitting to the turbo, ran a 4" tube to a 90* elbow and isntalled a 1/2" npt fitting to a 5/8" hose fitting to a 5/8" hose about 5" long to another 5/8" hose fitting to 1/2"npt fitting to the block. i took out that small extension from the block. yes it sounds ghetto but it works. and no more SMOKE!
PICS TO FOLLOW AFTER I EAT!!!
