I've been thinking this is the turbo i want, for a street car and occasional drag race at the track. Just wondering what times people are running with the 500r. I know it has alot to do with the cars setup and port jobs, but curious where the bench mark is with this turbo.

 

It is kind of hard to answer that it would depend on alot of factors like what boost,what tire.My car has about 4000miles with this turbo on it and no problems so far At 15 psi and 91 octane my car runs dead even with a freinds brand new C6 Zo6 and they are capable of low 11s- hi 10s with a good tire.I know that it is also capable of making about 600whp at 30psi. Hope this helps you out.

 

Go bigger.. Its never enogh. I did similar, went witha 40r then 4094 and now wish I would have went big 42r

 

It's not big enough until small children and pets start disappearing...

 

I have to agree...I am currently running the 500r kit but it's not in healthy shape...(shot an apex seal)...and I have to admit it's a badass turbo. I never really had to chance to race the 500r in healthy condition. First time i put the turbo on and dyno, motor blew and shot apex seal right thru it. But now i'm going bigger (GTK1000).
