I have heard that the BB is over rated when comparing performance to money. The T04R will spool up almost as fast as the Z and is like 1k less money. I have also heard that the BB only starts to make a difference once you get into the larger turbos like the gt42s'. Is that right?

Ball bearing does have a larger effect when it comes to larger turbos, but its still not a big deal. The real benefit is from the water cooling, which most DBB turbos have. The durability of the turbo is much better than journal bearing, due to lower friction of the bearing section, and also the lower internal temps.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Full Boost. And you guys are silly with this whole lag BS. If your driving along and you downshift, its not going to drop your rpms below 4500 anyhow, so what in gods name are whining about with lag? Its real simple people, if you want power you will suffer some lag. Get over it.

There is a 600 rpm difference between the two to 15psi.
The bigger the turbo the bigger the difference. Not to mention the BBs are a lot more durable at elevated boost pressures.
