GT42/45 1/2 Bridge

Hi
i would like to hear from any body who has any experience with the GT42/45 in terms of

how it would work on a fd with a 1/2 bridge,

how well dose it spoll up,

how much boost is needed for it to produce 500 plus rwhp.

and also will it fit.

cheers

Erdin

Would'nt you be better with a 35/40 for 500rwhp or a T51Kia.

From what i've seen the 42/45 looks like a 20b turbo and will take some cutting and messing about to get it into a FD engine bay.

Have a look around on here for a guy called Alf (Soul Assasin) he ran a To4R at 520rwhp on a Half Bridge before he went on to his Full Bridge T51 engine.

Bridges are a Very capable type of Porting but to get Big hp you may need to run big Boost and Race Fuel.

Works excellent

how well dose it spoll up,

Possible to make 5 psi free revving in neutral, 1.38 sec. 60 ft. with slicks and no nitrous

how much boost is needed for it to produce 500 plus rwhp.

20 psi or less

and also will it fit.

yes, but it isn't easy. Talk toMarco if you are serious.

cheers

It's because a total of 4 people here in North America have one (only 1 with a half bridge), with a few more in Australia (maybe).

None of these people are on the forum. Do you want guessing and uninformed info? If you search on GT42 you will see a lot of guessing and naysaying, but only one factual story source for information from someone who has actually tried it.

Be glad your question hasn't drawn some of the usual responses. It's not exactly the most common turbo in use, ya know!
