gt40r

Is there a difference between a gt40r for different applications, like a supra gt turbo and an rx7 turbo. My brother is getting his supra worked on by sound performance in chicago and is charging him 2400 for a gt40r but rx7store sells the gt40r for rx7's for 1850.

unless they specify something extra they do to the turbo at sound performance. other then that its the same only the turbine housing changes but there is no price difference in turbine a/r size.

A different sized turbine housing doesn't merit a 600 dollar difference.

Your brother should call them out.

no way the turbo should cost that much unless that includes polishing, anti-surge delete, coating, etc....

for just the turbo, regardless of the turbine a/r it should only cost around $1800.
