GT35R- problems

GT35R- problems

So i just bought an fd had a single gt35r and some other mods done to it. i bought it from texas and its in colorado right now. my question is, is it just the tune or why is it that on cold starts i have a **** load of white smoke coming out. like for a good 8 mins. also smells like its burning really rich. is this just a tuning problem or what do you think i have on my hands? any help is much appreciated and i will give me info as requested thanks alot

It probably is running rich when its cold. Tuning can usually fix it unless you have 850 primaries which you can never get perfect.

I'll have to tell all the guys idling fine using 1600cc bosch EV1 injectors that what they are doing is impossible

Peoples definition of idling fine varies. No one said it can't be done and hell I've had 1300's in my primaries before and drove it around for a few days. Just because it idles and drives, doesn't mean its fine. Some people actually care about fuel efficiency, smoothness, and not smelling like gas every time you come out of your car. And there's other issues like carboning up your combustion chamber, fouling your plugs quicker etc. that comes with running rich where you don't need to run rich. Also, if your not using a PowerFC, you don't have an ms floor like the PowerFC does so that gives you more room to lean it out.
