gt35r build imput

i plan in spring to get my car tuned (steve Kan)and i want to push my car perty hard on the dyno ive ran 17 psi on street with my torco race fuel (102 oct) so my plan is to get you to tune it for 18.5 psi maybe more. these are my mods now.

Engine is Street ported with 3mm apex seals
-T3 gt35r 1.06 single turbo kit from the rx7store
-44mm Tial wastegate vented to atmosphere
-2 Greddy RS blow off valves
-polished intercooler pipes, Greddy elbow and upper intake manifold
-Bltiz frount mount intercooler
-Fluidyne Radiator
-550cc primaries with 1680cc secondary injectors with a Aeromotive Fuel Pressure regulator
-MKIV supra fuel pump hot wired
-HKS twin power ignition
-Magnacor plug wires
-Lightweight flywheel with a Clutch Master clutch
-Brand new rebuilt tranny
-Kazz rear end
-3" exhaust with a resonator and Greddy cat back exhaust
-Blitz SBC-iD boost controller and Power meter
-Blitz turbo timer
-Apexi Power FC and commander
-RX8 shift ****
-B&M short shift kit
-Wideband O2 sensor with guage
-Autometer boost guage

Now that torco racing has gone under i plan on doing water/methanol injection and heat Shields like the other member on here. The two things that i am not sure about is do i need to upgrade to 850cc primaries and is my hot wired supra pump good enough i looked in to a gtr r33 apexi pump but no one has one if there is anything else you think im missing please tell.

thanks for the help

Contact Steve Kan at Steve Kan Tunning his new site and ask him your guestions.
With him being the tunner it should be his call on the inj and pump and also the safe psi he will tune to.

I run two walbros and 850's but it should be his call!

i pm'd him about 3weeks ago no reply yet i think he must be busy with something. I always like more than one opinion when i build my cars what you did with your car is what i want to do and have water/methanol injection as a safety back up.

It sounds like you have almost all the bases covered.
I would go the 850 inj, and check on the pump to see if it will cover 500 h/p.

The meth inj or E85 but the E85 would mean more fuel yet and alot more tunning!
Good luck!

kenne bell boost a pump and it will work fine. my girlfriend just got me one for xmas. you can run the pump all the way to 18 volts. do a search on it there is a good write up about it on here. also it is progressive to boost so the car wont be getting tons of fuel at idle and cruise.

i trapped 125.59mph in the quarter at 16 psi with 407 whp. for 500 whp on a 35r you are looking at 22psi or so. but that will get you in the 130mph trap range.

here's a vid of my run.

Heres one at 129.8 mph at 10.9 with a slow 1.6 60ft.
Close to 500 h/p at 20psi.

Have you shed any weight/upgraded the driveline, suspension and rubber??Touching these departments may (should) get you in that range as well.

I'm not sure why you'll throw race gas in and run it on the dyno like that, unless you've constantly got a full tank of race gas in there... Tune with how you drive it normally, record the numbers that you are going to see every day and be satisfied that your car isn't *only* performing at that level once in a blue moon... Otherwise it just seems like empty bragging rights to me

dregg100 i think with a better tune and 18.5psi ill hit close to 500whp i dyno'd at 12psi made 359whp then at 14psi i made 402whp. but hey we can talk all about dyno number's. That and at the end of the day ill be happy with 450whp.

smg944 wow nice run. I do think with my streetport and gt35r 1.06 i will be close to my goal but like i said im not to scared ill be underpowered

Busted7 i hope my car will be as strong as your's .

fendamonky i have not really shed much weight at end of the day it more of toy so it is a little heavy . The suspension and rubber i have Koni Adjustable struts with Eibach springs but will be going to the stance setup soon and have MT D/R on stock rims for drag. last year i always ran torco race gas it was some what cheap and at 17psi 4th gear pull i beat a 750 kawasaki my car is eathier off or on unless im stuck in the rain.

Ah, cool **** than I run about 18psi (between 1.25 and 1.33 bar, depending) all day, every day. Though I'm doing the whole water/meth thing with 94 octane. I've not run up against any bikes yet, though I haven't met a single car on the road that could take me (not run anything $100k+ yet...) ^_^

I think your car runs great and with a high 60' it did very well!

On the run i posted i had loaned my tralior to a friend to go to memphis lsx meet so i launched soft to avoid breaking stuff.
This coming year im going to have to let it all out as i think it should do better than 10.8.
But that means testing the stock axles and t11 diff.
