Greddy elbow w/bov and type-s bov, is any1 using it?
Anyhow, working on ideas for single conversion and i'm trying to stay exremely simple and clean. I remember it being sold with a type S BOV as a set but I can't find it or the set for sale anywhere any more.
Has anyone used or currently using either this combo or the type-s BOV? ...any pics? Does anyone like the type-s or only the type-R? Would the Tial mount on it? |

Personally i wouldnt get the Greddy type-s bov for your future single turbo.. The Greddy type-R bov is a great bov that flows quite well.

The elbow with the type S flange is out there, but its special order and you have to find the elusive P/N for it and wait a century to get one. After looking at my car im not even sure it'll work on a US Spec car as the brake booster is awful close to the elbow, but I think its been done before on US cars so it must fit in there. I'm using the Type S on a standard flange on the intercooler piping. My car isnt tuned yet so I cant report much on how well it works etc...I was pleased with the one I had on my 323GTX though
There's a couple pics in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=264656 Its actually mounted to stick out the vents in my RE Amemiya hood :) |
If you arent planning to make more than 450rwhp with the single turbo or more than 22 PSI boost than the Greddy Type S will work just fine. Just pick up the aluminum flange and have it welded on to your pipes or elbow by a local shop, I can't see them charging more than 20$ to do it, it takes like 10 minutes at the most. You could have a Tial welded on too.
