got a ride in a FASTTTTTTTTTT single turbo FD
saturday night, I met up with Rick(Carcrazy) and got a ride in his FREAKING FASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT FD, he has an hks to4e 0.96 ar with a super doper engine built by redline racing, with the racingbeat lightened rotor and a pretty aggressive streetport.
anways, his fd was FASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT TTTTTTT, full boost by 3krpm, scared the heck out of me, and he said he was still 'breaking it in'!!!!!! ok i'm done hehe
now i'm going with single turbo for sure, after I save up enough money...............................
btw thx for the good deal on evc iv rick

Maybe the full boost he talked about is only 8 psi. Everyone's full boost is different. It also depends on which gear and load. I bet you know about that but some people just don't.

Thanks for the nice comments Alpine...
I have the boost control set to 14 psi. At around 3k rpm, the motor does boost to around 12 psi as you feel the motor come up on the boost. Seems weird that you can really start to feel a transition from around 3700-4200 rpm with no change in boost. Seems as though this is when the motor really starts breathing good. It is like the motor is coming up on its cam on a regular piston motor.
When the motor had 1000 miles on it, the motor was dyno'ed at 393 rwhp at X S Engineering. I could swear the motor is much stronger now with 2100 miles on it. Most of the time the motor will put out 12-13 psi. Under certain conditions (top gear crusing in the freeway at night) it will boost to the full 14.
Oh, you will really like the KAAZ LSD "rotaryextreme". The bite around corners is awesome. Make sure you pay attention to the breakin procedures and change the oil like they say. You will get this annoying noise when backing up still after 2000 miles. The noise is MUCH less than when new. Traveling forward, it will make noise when going around corners for a while - say 100-350 miles.
I need to take the car into X S Engineering for more tuning. I want to take it to 16 psi and go to a 9k redline instead of the 8k redline I have currently.
later and happy motoring!!!

Thanks for the info. I will watch out for the break in procedure. Running 16 psi will make it a lot more fun. Good luck with everything.

The difference between the two differentials are obvious. I had the torsen out and compared to the KAAZ. The torsen looked "cheap" and insubstantial. Just my observations...
Obviously, the KAAZ is something to add when you have everything else dialed in and addressed. The cost is something like $800 - no chump-change.
For auto-crossers or drag racers, it is a great addition for more bite.
