Haha...i can sense some rivalry

Yea, my car is RHD, so xs engineering is out the window.

The car will be run on our 98 octane over here all the time, so it will be mapped with an apexi power fc...i think they are popular over in the USA with you guys yea!!??

I've excluded the r85 and t51r from my list now......a little too extreme for what i want with both turbo's.

Thats also the tempting thing with the greddy t78 kit....that fact the intercooler will match straight up with the hard piping kit etc.

hmmmmmmm.

How about the HKS T04R kit? It should fit RHD cars no problem being that it is engineered in Japan. It should rival the power of the T78 with slightly quicker spool-up, since there are more turbine housing options.

The R85 isn't extreme. T78 type lag with lots of power doesn't seem bad. But if you don't want it then that's cool because there are just so many options out there and people want different powerbands and amounts of power to suit their driving.

The 35R seems really nice to me for $2999. Not quite the top end of some of the larger turbos but its a great compromise of power and lag.

i guess you could call it rivalry... but it always turns into someone just talking trash.
*edit* after looking at your name, I see you are a guy I had a conversation email with and I actualy told you that you may be better off talking to Sean or Steve from A-spec. I know they would do/have done the same in the right situation. no fights here.

Exactly, I've had people I have said they maybe better off heading your way right now due to the 40R lead time. I have no hard feelings torwards Keith, and me and Jason poke at each other all the time. It's usually the people on the outside (ie customers) that go for the negativity.

Thanks for all the help guys....really appreciate it.....i've decided to go with the greddy t78 setup.

The reasons are as follows....... the t78 is tried and trusted (i know its been around a while), plus the greddy 3 row intercooler will match up with the turbo with all the hard piping etc (so easier installation), and unofrtunatly.....only the t78 will fit my car, the gt35/40 will not fit rhd cars....the unit alone might, but not the rest of the turbo kit.

So thanks for your help lads, and i've been in touch with jason at rx7store.net, and i'll keep peeps posted with my progress.

So thanks again.

Dan!!
