OH Going single turbo questions????

My winter project includes going single turbo (GT35R) and I am now messing with
the vacum and electrical connections I will not need. I have already eliminated most of the unnecessary stuff years ago but I have a few things I am curious about.

Should I still use the charcoal cannister?

The only solenoid valve I have installed so far is "A" (fuel pressure regulator
control), do I need any of the others?

Do I need to weld an aluminum port on a intercooler air pipe so I can run a fuel injector atomization vacum line?

Any help on these questions or if anyone can think of something they want to add I would be greatly appreciated.

lol hot off the press for me. these are all issued i recently dealt with. Much of this is opinion, as there are choices to be made

I am not using the charcoal canister. That keeps gas out of your oil or something like that. I accidentally chewed through the line for that when redoing my gas lines so it wasnt a choice as much as i wanted it to be.

I removed the fuel pressure regulator line. I have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator as well.

The damn fuel atomizer line has been a pain in my *** for two reasons. 1) where to put it (your question) and two, my primary fuel rail leaks from that area. Blow on that line and you will see where it goes. two holes in the primary rail area. i have a vacuum leak there.

But i have still chosen to keep it.

OH Funny you responded first....

I have been following your project on and off from the beginning. I started just after Thanksgiving. My project is similar to yours except I ported my engine and installed new RA seals and I am not doing AUX INJ. yet, but that is coming soon.

So what solenoids did you keep?

My fuel system (RX7 Store) also has regulator but has vacum line nipple on it?

I would like to be on the road by April 9th, how about you?

You dont need any solenoids and you just run a vacuum source to the FPR.

OH Nice to hear from you Jason

Thanks for the response to my question.

I didnt get a chance to call you Friday but if you could take Xavier 2 alum. diffusers for the secondary injectors I will pick them up next week at the shop.

Thanx again for all your help, after all almost all of my new parts for this project came from the RX7 Store.

Thanx again

Regarding on the road: I was just today. Not tued but she's gorgeous. And I did it all at once. Well minus the fmic and PFC. It's amazing. Absolutely amazing. And with jasons answer. I didn't keep a single solenoid. But that preference.
Look up grimple1 single turbo harness how to. I followed that. If u don't keep anything. I errored on the safe side and somehow ended up with my fuel temp sensor still attached. lol better to have that than the opposite. :-)

OH Thanks again Xavier

I am setting up to run charcoal cannister and I was afraid of the fumes plus its not a power add and its not a weight issue for me.

I didnt get a chance to call Jason but I do need those alum diff for 2nd rail.

My JIC hose crimp fittings are a match for the AN fuel fittings and I can crimp the ends right on the OEM fuel lines for a sure seal and a nice install. I will bring one
over to the shop one day this week and show you.

Thanks again for all your help. The RX7 Store has been helpfull to me in to many ways to write about.

See you later

Kevin
