Garrett TO4R guys

Wanting to see if I could get some dyno numbers with the .84 and 1.0 exhaust A/Rs. Havent found a ton of info and hoping maybe some guys havent posted their numbers before. Dyno sheets along with boost pressure would also be great. Trying to make a final decision. I have recently installed and driven a .84 on a customers car and want to see the difference in power/spool time with the 1.0 A/R.

Just to help out David, you would need to non street ported engines to compare with any real data....Street ports veri so much builder to builder that you would not get any real data. Intake and Exhuast porting can make a huge difference in the turbochargers performance, spool, pounds per min etc......Hope that helps

I was running a 1.15 a/r t04r with a full bridgeport and had 20psi by like 4k. but no longer with that setup

I know the data will not be 100% accurate but I was looking for some round about numbers with the different Turbine A/Rs. Difference in top end being the main factor as I assume spool up wouldnt be too drastic but realize there will be a difference.

just go big. I ran a .84 on a 40r years back and on stock ports it made power around 4200rpm but fell off around 7k. Went 1.06 later and it was too laggy on the stock ports but held power well into redline. I am running a .96 on the 4094 turbo and its been pretty good but if I come upon a larger housing I will swap. If you are doing a drag car you know the anwser.......

I just cant commit to it being a drag car, ignore the cage, no ac, no ps, no rear interior, no pass seat, ETC I really liked the feel of the to4r with the .84 but was hoping to see some responses from the guys with the 1.0 hotside. Im so back and forth it is ridiculous, it is the last piece of the puzzle though.

Im using the new ALS seals and running no intercooler/water injection, would like to relocate the alt to AC compressor area but not sure if I want to badly enough to run an electric waterpump, other than that, nothing really special. I liked the response of the .84 exhaust housing but figured since I am planning on running without an IC that the little larger exhaust housing wouldnt kill spool up too much. Im just shooting for 420-430rwhp on 15-16lbs. Nothing crazy, just want the car to weigh around 2500lbs or less. Im not trying to set records or re-invent the wheel, just a really simple FD engine bay and a car that can hopefully trap around 125mph in the 1/4 at our event.

Are you going to be able to make it to the S4S event this year? Looks like it is going to be atleast twice the size it was last year.

I should be ahead of you, the damn car has only been down for 14 months I have put a lot of other fds back on the road in that time frame though.

I have two customer cars to do single swaps on before mine gets any attention. I hope I will have mine started by the end of the mont, however I have said that about 10 months in a row The fiance and I bought a new house with a much larger garage, we are moving at the end of this month, so that will really help things out.

Not exactly "my" streetport. The irons I am using were half *** ported by someone else, I am going to save them to the best of my ability, but they arent a pretty platform to start with. I will make the best out of it though.

"My" streetport template(actually Landers rotaryresurrection.com template) is what I would prefer to use. He just made 466rwhp on 20-21 lbs and pumpgas only with a 35r with the undivided .81 exhaust housing. I am wanting a slightly larger turbo and would love to see 425+ at the 15-16lb mark.

The 15-16 psi numbers you are looking for ......Porting is the key...

Went from a 0.81 to a 1.0a/r divided on my hks to4r; no loss in low end (on a hks divided manifold). Mapped for a little more boost with the 1.0a/r, swapped the blitz nurspec for a Smb catback (3.5" bore). Makes good power 4k and above and pulls even harder after 7k than with the 0.81 housing. No difference in spool up between the housings I've found.
