fjo injector driver, help a brother out!
I have the 4 channel box with 5 wires on the striped harness and 6 on the solid, I believe the model number starts with a k and I'm wiring a 93 fd. My problem is the common b/y wire. I believe I cut it and splice the white wire from the striped harness to the injector side, but what do I do with the ecu side of the b/y wire and the white and pink wires on the solid harness? Im thinking I tie the pink and the white from the solid harness together and splice that to the b/y wire that goes to the ecu. This just confuses me a little because I didnt think the ecu put out 12v which is what that pink and white from the solid harness need. Thanks guys.

On second though it sounds like you might have the earlier model. The directions I posted are for the new simple version. I'll look up the one you have...
OK, I looked and the model you are describing should only has 5 solid wires and 4 striped (like I posted above) Model KID0404
If the colored diagram I posted is too confusing, you are probably better of having someone with more experience reading electrical schematics doing the install for you.

sorry for not answering your PM but the forum was unavailable this a m.
you have the same unit (KID0004) as i do... the earlier model. i see FJO has only the later model up on their site.
re the solid 6 wires:
white... switched 12 v
red... front secondary injector to LG/W
orange... rear sec injector LG
yellow and green unused
pink...
"notes"
connecting the pink wire
step 1 disconnect all injectors
s 2 I D the factory wire which is common to all injectors
s 3 connect the neg lead of your meter to chassis ground
s 4 turn on ignition but do not attempt to start (duh)
s 5 measure V of the wire identified in step 2 w pos lead from meter
s6 connect pink wire to a 12 V ignition source if you measured 12 V, otherwise connect it to ground.

Thanks Howard. Well my car is kinda a work in progress right now and the harness and battery is out of the car among other things. So it it safe to assume I can tie the the 3 wires from the fjo, white from the striped harness, white and pink from the solid harness together and go right to the injector side of the cut b/y wire since the common should be 12v? BTW im making all my splices right before the ecu.

Just to put some closure to this, the guy from FJO was wrong. The b/y out of the ecu doesn't put out enough to trigger the injector driver. The white and pink must see a proper 12v switched, I used the ign wires. The ecu side b/y can just get taped off.
