FD3S Megan manifold not lining up

Anyone have any problems with their turbo inlet holes not lining up with the turbo? I ask because for some reason my manifold will only let 3 out of 4 studs into the turbo. Very weird that one stud is off. Its a used manifold so guess cant be perfect. Next size up should do it since its off by a little.

Megan is a knock-off/ebay brand.

I'm not surprised that their manifold isn't as high quality as one made by a company with known quality and a reputation to maintain..

remove the studs and use bolts and nuts, its a cheap manifold, of course they are going to require some love

the flange probably got warped during welding. it may actually have already been resurfaced, but that doesnt fix the studs being angled out slightly. you could always thread a nut on the offending stud and "correct" it with a hammer

Megan is hit or miss. They are basically all ebay junk. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Very often the will leak and eventually crack. The runner length isn't optimal and the wastegate placement isn't ideal. I won't even install them anymore if a customer brings them unless they agree not to hold me responsible if it leaks or doesn't fit. If you are trying to do a nice single setup get a manifold from IRP, Turblown, or another reputable fabricator. If you MUST use it, at least get both flanges faced and either tap it for an M10 stud or enlarge the holes for an M10 bolt. The M8 stuff people use because the holes don't line up are not strong enough for a big turbo.
