Question FD twins on a TII?

Could you put FD twins on a TII and run them in non-sequential mode? What kind of hp would it be good for?

You can do ANYTHING if you have enough time/money/patience

It wouldn't make as much HP as a standard FD unless you transplant the whole motor.. The FD has bigger ports and breathes much better..

Cheers,
Dave

So true. I guess I shoul dhave clarified a little. Will it fit with little or no modification to the turbo itself for mounting. I know a new downpipe and IC piping would be necessary. Think it would be worth the effort or not?

It's been done.&nbsp Power potential looks like it's in the 300-350hp (to the wheels) range.&nbsp It's going to get awefully close to the lower intake manifold, so you might need a spacer...

I plan on getting a TII this weekend.

Heres my question now. Would it be worth it, or should I...

I know someone who can get brand new turbos for cheap. Like $450-500 for a T04. Should I hold out a little while, save up, and go that route, and add on the other things I would need, such as manifold, IC, IC pipes, etc, or just go with the FD twins. I plan on going partial bridge when the engine blows, or if I just get really bored one day Ill have an EMS before I upgrade from the stock turbo, so thats not the question. I want a somewhat small turbo that will spool quickly, and allow me to run moderate boost, say 17 PSI.

I don't like the stock turbos (FC or FD).&nbsp They used the crappy carbon seal which limits you to 14psi.&nbsp If you wanna run higher boost reliably, get a dynamic seal one - most aftermarket turbos are dynamic seals.&nbsp Huck the FD twins and get a real turbo - isn't that why you're in here?
