Any 66mm or bigger compressor. Greddy T78, HKS T04/Z, Gotham Racing GR67, etc. Be prepared for some lag, you'll get 1 bar by maybe 4700-5000 rpms on stock ports.

wait so why are you guys all telling him to get a gigantic tubo. you don't need anything that big for stock ports. jrat made 400 on stock ports with a t61 and that was an s4 TII.

A-Spec 500R. Big backorder tho. Check out their "group buy" section for the thread for all your questions and answers on it. I've read some good stuff in there about it.

Well, how much boost do you want to run? to keep it 'safe,' I assumed around 15 psi. On stock ports, you'll probably need more boost than that with a T61......

Yes Captain, around 15/16psi no more really I would like, I have never heard of a GT99R turbo, I will look into the aspec 500r kit. The 500R kit is 3700$ bout the same price as a T78/T88. I like the TO4R however

Yes with better support and made in the USA It will offer very similar overall power to the T04R but it will have better response and broader torque curve.

yeah but you do understand that was on stock ports on an s4. The fd has much larger ports. I would say 400 would be easily obtainable on a t61 in an fd at or around 15psi. You can make almost that much power on a 60-1.

gt35r, t61, 60 or 62-1, t66 if you want more power later.
any of those would be fine.

is it a good idea to go single before you port your engine? i thought when the engine goes you throw pieces of your seals thru the turbine.

I have also been wondering about what kind of single turbo would be good on the stock ports. I thought the GT35R looked pretty good but I am also wondering if this is even worth it before getting a ported motor?

are you sure on that turbine a/r? that sounds like it belongs on a moped, not an rx-7

Sure, you can make good power on a stock port engine with the 35r. Been done many times before, I wouldnt wait until you port your motor
