Bought a used singleturbokit with a homemade manifold, a masterpower t61 and what was supposed to be a 50mm hks wastegate. But is it really a genuine wg?
No markings on it but it doesnt look like the copies ive managed to google..



Also would there be a big difference betwen stock and street porting with this setup?

 

looks fake, the purple anodizing is a bit different than the original hks

problem is not the big difference stock vs ported
Problem is: WHAT IF IT DOESNT OPEN? GETS STUCK?

Something so inexpensive can give you VERY expensive problems
Sell or dump that junk and get a tial or another GOOD wastegate

And get rid of that masterpower junk turbo. I used a couple of them and a couple of xs power ones.. they will basically boost in different times from run to run
and who knows about that manifold

Im not going to use the manifold, And not the wg either now that I know it isnt genuine.
Only read good about the MP untill this.

I would try to return the whole kit if you are not going to use the manifold and wg.

 

It looks like a fake. You could bench test it to make sure it functions properly.

 

Definitely a fake, they go for about 60 bucks on ebay.
