whats up guys. We just finished put on a single turbo on to my fd. we started the car last night and it ran great for a while then it got flooded so now its unflooded and runs good again. but the Watergate is always open i have the "valve" pointed towards the exhaust. so since its facing the exhaust, could it be opening it up from all the pressure ? i have an 8 lbs spring in it. so thinking this might be my problem.

please let me know which way the waste gate is supposed to face.

Probably missing your waste-gate valve seat

 

A single 38mm wastegate is not going to cut it, and also try disconnecting the vacuum lines from the wastegate and see if it's still open.
