Hi...

Does anybody have pics of the exhaust sleeves in a Cosmo engine vs a FD engine..

I know there is a big different in the size of these two engines but i need a picture of the different or the size in cm/feet...???

I have a cosmo engine in my FD and i want to make the exhaust sleeves bigger so it is the same as the Fd engine....

ahh crap.. there used to be a thread on this exact topic and had great pics. Did you search? I don't know if it was in the single turbo forum or not.

IIRC it was comparing all of the ports to the FD so it may not be under exhaust sleeve, but if you search for "cosmo port" or something like that, I think it will turn up.

 

Don't have pics, but the cosmo is alot more restrictive on the exhaust because it is tuned for torque. Interestingly the intake is larger. SWap out the sleeves or use fd rotor housings.

 

The Cosmo sleeves also keep the noise down..

Not until today...
They were fine BTW, the engine made
plenty of power on the stock port too.

Today I put in the FD sleeves.
I am presently porting and pinning the engine too.
