Exhaust Manifolds....

I plan on putting a T04E or a T04R into my 10th AE and I want to know what are the benefits or drawbacks of internal and external
wastegates are????

Also want to know what are the best exhaust manifolds for each application???

You'll have to use an external gate ... that's the only way to go anyway. Crispeed makes a purty manifold. But if it's for a streetcar, you'll probably want a cast iron piece for durability. Something like the HKS or Cartech manifold.

Ryan, does Cartech still make a manifold? How does it compare to the HKS manifold?

Which of the two have the best flo characteristics????
How about a custom manifold???? Made specificly for the characteristics of the T04E????

Any members know a good custom shop in O.C. in CALI????
Perferably speacializing in RX7's???? Other than Mazdatrix....

Hey Cris, if I sent you the cast manifold I'm using now, could you make a tubular one that would mate up to the downpipe in the exact same spot? I'd love to have a tubular divided manifold, but the thing stopping me from doing it is that I already have all my exhaust made to fit what I have now ... I don't want to have to re-do all that.

Hey Geg I sent you a PM. I'm down for a manifold, otherwise I'll have to buy the HKS cast for my ride.

I'm going up in size to a 28X10.5 tire now to help with the traction problem that I'm having now. Also it's going to help the motor live a little longer I hope by lowering the rpm at the finish line which by the way was at 9K+!
