Carl, I just went to the ACT Extreme after burning up an ACT street/strip after going single. I believe I can smell the very slight whiff of clutch in first gear, and I'm not doing any radical drag-starts, since I have not returned to the drag strip since my latest rebuild (but I'm close to going back). This has just been sprited street use. One caveat is that I believe the insert on my SR flywheel has hot spots and needs to be replaced, and I may not have a perfectly flat flywheel surface because of it. Since I munched my tranny and Fritz is shipping me Wael's old one next week, I got a new insert and will replace that as well (depending on shipping time, figure ~ 2 weeks from now). If the clutch still slips after than, then I'm going to move away from the ACT system and go Exedy. I have not dyno'd my car, but I'm using the timing from Wargasm's map and have almost identical equipment, so figure I've got similar power as him (~400 rwhp and ~350 lb. ft.), amybe a bit less since I'm running in the high 9s/low 10s afrs right now. That would seem to indicate that ACT's numbers for the Extreme are overly optimistic, but until I get that flywheel insert replaced, I can't be certain. Ask again in 2 weeks.

Thanks. As I said in the prior post, it seems VERY strange that an ACT single HD PP can hold 750ftlbs+ in one car, and not even half that in another.
