estimated HP T-78?

KD rotary is going to be doing my car with the following mods, how much rwhp u guys think i will put down:

-full rebuild, 3mm with streetport
-T-78 kit (20 psi)
-Power FC w/ commander
-gm 3-bar map sensor
-greddy 3 row FMIC
-ACT lightweight flywheel, act clutch
-850cc primaries, 1600cc secondaries
-HKS twin power ignition
-RRFPR, RP fuel pump
-stainless steel midpipe, N1 catback
-koyo radiator
-greddy pulleys

Dave is claiming that at 20 psi i will put down 435rwhp-450. this seemed kind of low to me. what do u guys think?? thanks guys

at 16psi, you should be between 420-460 depending on how good of a tune. at 20-21psi, you should be close to 500 or so. i'll be installing my 78 within the next couple of weeks and going to visit jason and xavier to get a nice tune

yea, thats more like it. Why did he tell me low hp numbers?? is he a reputable tuner? From the start i was aiming at around 470-500 on 20 psi. i think this is very achievable on 20 psi with my setup.

dave tunes a little more conservitavely than some places just to keep his rep good.

jason made 506 @ 19psi i think. it was either 19 or 21. either way, he's got my business and always will. keep in mind that jason also has a 'tweaked' t78

It will all come down to tuning. You can stay at 425@20psi or be up around 500@20psi. It's going to come down to tuning. The ability is there, but doesn't mean that you will see it unless you tune for it. You setup is capable of making that much power though. Just my .02

Good luck at KDR on the dyno. I'm sure that you'll be pleased with the numbers.

Sean, the Boston terrier pic is actually off of a video clip of that dog humping the stuffed animal like crazy. Funny video. Laterz.

I think one of the reasons kdrs hp numbers are a little lower then most are used to is due to the anti detonation device. The anti detonation device takes away a little horsepower but adds torque. I guess it pays off in the long run that you wont pop a motor due to detonation, and you get a little extra torque, even if it is at the cost of a little horsepower. I think its a more then compensating trade off.

how is that even possible if each has a direct relation to the others:
horsepower = (Torque X RPM) / 5252

torque = (Horsepower X 5252) / RPM
and
RPM = (Horsepower X 5252) / Torque

if you know two of the factors, you can figure the third... i dont understand their claims. i am not saying you personaly are wrong, i know that this is their claim....

Keith what is the 5252 variable? What i mean is how did you come up with that number, and what dose it mean? Might be a dumb question!
