EFR8374 Boost creep issue

Anyone else have a boost creep issue and been able to resolve it without porting the wastegate?
Specs- Turblown IWG Borg Warner 8374 Kit, turbosmart actuator, streetport, 3 inch exhaust (Reinhard blast pipes with magnaflow muffler in midpipe)
Currently I am just running at wastegate spring pressure at 15psi and creeping up to 18-20psi.

Some guys here advise to place a exhaust restriction.

Check your preload on the WG actuator. If you have too many turns it can cause you to boost creeps. @ what RPM does it start to creep?

I haven't had any issues with my setup.

Also what boost controller are you running?

I tried all the way until there was no preload and still nothing. On my original setup I had the opposite problem. I had the stock actuator and a the Bonez highflow cat and my car held 14psi and dropped to 10 psi by redline so I swapped the actuator and the midpipe (turned out the cat was melted) I’m not sure if I have another underlying problem since my car seems to be running hot causing the manifold, DP to glow red

also I have a GFB electronic boost controller

Gotcha! Try switching back to the stock actuator and see what happens.

My buddy @estevan62274 had similar issues running the turbo smart actuator using a 4 port BCS and the boost creeped. He ended up switching back to the stock actuator no issues after.

What are your AFR's and timing in boost? Also @ what RPM are you creeping?

With my setup, I only saw a .5 psi creep REVVING it out to 7k. I also have 5 turns on my WG rod.

Hmm okay maybe it would be worth a try to switch back the actuator! But my AFRs are around 10.2-10.5 in boost, not sure timing. And usually in the higher RPMs I start creeping like above 6K
