ebay ss manifold any good?

I saw a ss custom manifold that has a lifetime warranty. They say it is much
thicker than the obx ones that crack. I also heard that it is the same as the
obx and to stay away. It is under $200 and looks nice. It is sold by ssauto-
chrome. Anybody used one or have any info on this? The guy that told me
to avoid it did'nt seem to be too sure about his info. Also, if anyone has
used it, what numbers did you make?

im using one, but mine is fairly modified and rewelded. They are crap though, plan on spending a $100 to have it fixed up. ON mine, non of the holes were aligned (huge pain in the ***) and non of the flanges were flat.

no problems yet, but I havent put too much heat in it yet

I bought one and made a copy to my own specs. The ebay one didn't look too bad, some of the welds kind of shoddy, but the overall construction is nice. I agree with 82, you will need some rewelding, bracing, and milling of the flanges to make it work right. Good luck with the decision.

I've been using mine for about 6,000 miles without a problem. Granted, I did have to machine both flanges flat before installing it. It's basically a knock off of the Feed Sonic manifold.

The threads do suck but i was able to get them too work.

so far happy but the real test is to come........

I wonder if they are improving them as they go. I though the welds were nice on mine.

Rumor has it, there is a 7 second FD in New Zealand running this design... So, the quality is hit, and miss, but the design could not be too bad if that rumor is true, yes?

I've been beating on mine for a while now and have no issues. Might be crap to some, but works fine for me.

I have 425 rwhp and the thing works great but I did change both flanges to make it work in my set up. Also we added two heat sheilds and that seems to help the heat issues

I think there is a consesus on the bolt holes/threads and the mating faces being quite bad which require machining, not the easiest thing to do with stainless steel.
Other than that the welding seems fairly ok and the construction is pretty good too,not a bad manifold for what you pay for it.
