Hey T88kid:

Looking at your dyno graph it clearly shows boost was climbing and never stabilized....what happened after ~6.5krpm ????? You're telling me with 26psi you would have been close to ~650rwh !!!!!!!! with the extra 100 rpms!!!!
That graph looks identical to one of my own(not same numbers) when I forgot to connect the wastegate........boost kept climbing with no stopping 'til I lifted. Horsepower and torque peaked out at exactly same rpm when I lifted.

Congrats on the #'s anyway....................

Nice numbers, but...you got a weird "blip" at 6,000RPM and the power falls immensely after it peaks.&nbsp It looks like the tuning is a bit off.&nbsp As for the power falling flat like that, the whole system is choking somewhere...

BTW, the hp and torque lines don't intersect cause the DynoJet allows for different scaling.&nbsp The scan doesn't show the extreme right hand vertical side of the graph which would show a different set of numbers hp versus torque.

You are completely right. The tuning is definitely off and my secondary injectors also had problems. We are going to work out those bugs this week as we are scheduled to dyno again in friday.

Thanx - I would think a little "constructive criticism" would be helpful instead of congradulating you on the big numbers - those ARE big numbers!

I think with a little more tuning, you'd get a pretty nice graph - you're pretty close as it is.

Is this motor doweled or reinforced in any way???&nbsp Or did a miss a thread on your mods?

Found this info in the early part of the thread.
Can't wait to hear coverage of your next dyno session.
You should get a video on it. Good luck.

Did you lighten the rotors or use extra pins on the stationary gears?

I'm on the fence as to pinning the housing and stationary gears on my next engine (parts sitting in the garage).

Wow they still race up in nanuet? I used to go there a few years ago with my 11 sec stang. Those were fun days.

I though the cops cut down on the racing up there.

Yea every sunday and Wednsday night. I usually just go to hang out advertise my business, but occasionally there is a fast car worth playing with. They meet around 10 pm by the McDonalds on the main strip. The cops are usually pretty cool and don't mind unless people start screwing around in the parking lot.

T88Kid, you say you were running race gas, what kind? Just wondering if its the unleaded 110/112/114 or full C16 leaded stuff.

I was planning on turning my boost up to 25lbs. and beyond but just wanted to see what others were putting in the tank to do it. (I run the C16 over 20 lbs. but it might be overkill).

Thanks

How are you getting boost to build that much, that quick with a T88/1.15? I can't get past 10lbs. of boost at 6k. I have the same turbine size but a much smaller compressor(62-1). Anybody else with ideas? Could I be too rich? I don't believe my timing is too far off. Wastegate is not stuck open. What other factors play into this.

Those are fantastic numbers. Congrats! Have you dynoed on pump gas yet?

Thanks for the compliments. What other mods do you have on your car? What wastegate are you running and MOST importantly what spring weight? I had a boosting problem and it was caused by the spring I was using.
