Downpipe material

I'm running a TII eng with a GT35R. Going to fab a downpipe. Is mild steel ok for a downpipe? What metal thickness should i use? Going with 3" piping. What places on the net sell the piping?

Stainless is optimal but mild steel will work. That is what I used. Just make sure that it is thick. I cannot remember the thickness that I used.

As for the pipe you can pick it up at your local muffler shop.
