Got rid of cruise a long time ago when I went non-sequential, thats where my FPR sits right now, and have kept my AC through the single conversion and engine rebuild even though i have been missing an AC line for a good year now. Anybody got an extra one they want to sell me (high pressure line with the valve on it that runs next to the turbo)

Kept the a/c. Stupid to take it out in a street car in my opinion. I took out the cruise because the cable was binding once and holding my idle at 3000. Never put it back in.

on my old engine with factory turbo.even thought I dont use but once you use it you can really feel the log cause by the AC. wonder what it will do on TRI Point port Street port and T04R....

For the P/S dont you need a manual rack from 2 gen? is that bolt on to 3 gen's body

You don't need a manual rack. You just loop the hose. I don't like it in a street car.

FD without P/S feels like an FC that came without P/S from the factory.

A lot of people took of their PS off. ON my other RX7(2gen race car weight 2440 with driver). I have manual rack, it feel fine with out P/S. but on 3 gen turbo rx7 the car a least weight over 3000 pound and the car is nose heavey too. so people took of their P/S did you guys use after market steering wheel ?(

In the FD it has been pointed out that to eliminate P/S in this manner doesn't not take into account a structural failure point in the rack that gets undue stress because of the lack of power assist (I forget where exactly it is) which could have some serious implications (loss of steering).

The gentleman who I remember who found this out prepared Formula ?3? cars in the UK and knew what he was talking about...

Over 3000??? Last mine hit the scales it was 2615 which is just from some normal bolt on's, no actual weight reduction. Now, I've pulled prob another 100lbs off it with the air pump, a/c, and p/s along with some other junk I didnt need. Its prob right around 2500-2550 and I still havent done anything in the name of weight reduction, just mod to car like most everyone else. Its a 1995 PEP. Oh yea, you can add about 175lbs to that for the driver.

Yea stock FD weighs 2789 lbs and has a F/R weight ratio of 50/50 so it isn't nose heavy. Min weighed 2709 lbs before I went single, have super light seats and what not, but have a welded in 4-point roll bar. When I weighed mine its F/R weight ration was 47/53 mainly because of the roll bar being right infront of the back wheels.
