Devinci new Turbo Kit

I just picked up a RXTuner Mag and read a section where Devinci Motorsports has a new turbo kit that will make 450RWH at 1 bar on a ported motor. Has anyone have experience with them?

I bought a downpipe from Justin at Davinci this summer. I am very happy with the service I got.

The kit that they have is only $2,250. It's a better deal then kit I know making the same HP. My only concern is that this is the first time I've ever heard of them. Are they the same people that design motorcycle parts for OCC?

Their kit is priced at $2250. Very competive to other kits making the same HP at 1 bar. My only concern is that I haven't heard of them. Are they the same people that make parts for the famous TV show Orange County Chopper?

Their price for a complete kit is only $2250. Do you think that it is a quality kit?

exactly.

your best bet would probably be to try the kit yourself. Maybe you're in for a good experience.

I bought a to4r kit off Davinchi last summer. I'll be honest. The down pipe was clearanced poorly and does not seal. Justin has agreed to have that corrected for me. The wastegate was junk and I had to buy a HKS wastegate. The kit was missing the bolts to mount the turbo to the manifold. I had to have the manifold machined flat and have the holes open up because they didn't line up with the turbo. The turbo is pretty nice though. From what I read in the RXTuner ad, it looks like they are using the same manifolds still (the ones from Ebay). They have started selling the new kit with Tial wastegates. That is a major improvment over the last kit. I think that so long as the down pipe is made better, and I did hear that the newer ones are made properly. The hardware shows up and the manifold gets machined flat and test fitted by Davinchi before shipping it out then it's not a bad deal. I think that they had made this kit better than the last.

Davinchi used to be called Bi-State customs. It is not the people from TV.

That would be a negative ghost-writer. Down here we had an FD Streetported with a 60-1 and all the extras.....it put down ~390rwhp at 16-18psi. Spools very fast but falls flat on its face after about 100mph. BTW that was tuned with a PFC by Steve.

Davinci ships a damn good kit for the money. There are quite a few cars running their turbo kits. A local guy made 390 at 13psi ona 60k original motor on the AF61. Davinci is one of the few shops out there doing custom work who will do absolutly anythign to make you feel good about your purchase.

Lets not leave out that this was the Hi-fi edition of the turbo.

My 60-1 tuned by me (novice tuner and pretty conservative) put down 405 at 14 PSI.

Ordered my kit today after reading a second write up on RX7Tuner mag. We'll see if "you get what you paid for" is true just a saying.

Davinci are GREAT guys. I have been doing business with them for a while now. I have never met them in person, but feel as if ive known them forever. They will go out of their way to help a customer be "comfortable". This was a primary reason that they are building my company show/drag car, i trust them. I have never heard a negative remark about them until the guy on the first page( and note he said that Davinci would correct their mistake). You are in good hands and have NOTHING to worry about

where was that at??? im VERY curious!!! i just did a 60-1 in anticipation of 400rwhp. most everyone i talked to said 400 was attainable with this turbo. i surely hope thats not the case!!!! was the car problematic?

Uh,The turbo they're talking about is Not Ball Bearing either, they even state this in the description as the reason for the lower cost, there is how ever no way a turbine of equal size, will spool up as fast, non Ball Bearing / vs. BB....
