Datalogic software question

I have a question about running the datalogic software for a power fc, instaid of running the software on the power fc is it possible to hardwire a lab top into the car and run the program threw the labtop, it seems as it is the same thing. Also i could get the dyno guys to program there maps into the labtop.. could this work this way or do you have to use the power fc? JUST WONDERING JOE..

Not sure I understand what your asking. The Datalogit runs off a laptop in conjunction with the Power FC. That is the only way to run it.

you could hardwire a pc to replace your ecu, but then you would need custom boards made for injector drivers, fuel pump controlers etc. the ecu is not a computer so much as it is a collection of controllers and drivers with a very simple program. its easier to use the PFC and datalogit, and then havr the tuner save multiple maps to the PC and teach you how to download them.
