Custom twin S5 turbo setup
Has anyone ever done a twin turbo setup with S5 turbos? Im wondering if this setup would work well on a 13b-RE.
From what I could digg up the exhaust A/R might be a little on the large side. But lagg isnt much of a concern.
Thoughts, impressions, comments, predictions?

Why not run turbos that can actually run higher than 12 psi? They basically blow nothing but hot air above that. And as stated above, they'll lag like crazy.

anyway It was one of there apprentice's cars and i think it out performed customers TA45 single set up that it was fetured with ( the two cars were featured together from memory). anyway i think craig said it was laggy untill 31/2-4000rpm and then pulled strong all the way through to red line. but he did say there was nothing cheap about the setup only the price of the two turbos were cheap. 380rwkw to from memory and 9 or 10sec 1/4ml

Steven Cockerill’s S1 RX-7
Like Jason, Steven wanted a mega quick street rotary and working at Dyson Rotary as a mechanic has been an added bonus. It also provided the opportunity to experiment a bit a under the bonnet. Instead of the usual big single turbo, the guys decided they’d give a twin turbo setup a go; the type of thing you’d expect to see on a three-rotor engine.
Two series IV turbochargers were given the nod, although a bit tricky to initially setup. So the guys got it all working using a custom-made exhaust manifold with the help of a Turbosmart external 45mm waste gate to control boost pressure.
A Mick’s Metal Craft custom intercooler cools the intake charge into the standard Series IV intake manifold. The Series IV engine was pulled down for a freshen up with additional dowels and a turbo port job being the only modifications.
The new twin turbo setup worked better than expected with the RX-7 making peak power of 367kW at the wheels on 19psi boost. To stop the motor from starving to death, Steven fitted two Bosch Motorsport fuel pumps, a Dyson Rotary surge tank and a Malpassi fuel regulator which feeds the two Rochester injectors and two massive Indy Blue secondary injectors. Fuel mapping and ignition is controlled with a MicroTech LTX8. The twin turbo setup emits quite an unusual bark through the three-inch exhaust and gives the impression that the engine is running very lazy, but numbers don’t lie with Steven recording a 10.8 @ 131.9mph on 15psi and with some niggling clutch gremlins.
