Question Converting to a single turbo

Well, i just registered, , and even though i have a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner , im goin to sell it and get a 3rd gen rx-7 in a few months, i can't wait , but ive been goin to this site and reading threads in this forum for a long while now, so i know somewhat about rx-7's and rotary engines in general, but when i do get my rx-7 one of my plans is to convert it to a single turbo.

so my question is what mods would you recommend i get before i get a single turbo?

Also what order would you recommend i get those mods?

ive been lookin up on some single turbos and i heard that the T04E Turbo Kit from XS Engineering really good, but it will be a daily driver and i'll race ocasionally on the weekends, but it will be made for the street.

Thanks

i am currently coming up with a single turbo setup that will have the power of the namebrand kits at a major fraction of the cost. its very cheap. my friends have tried to get me to sell this as a kit, but i believe in helping others as much as possible. the series 5 (89-91) turbo exhaust manifold will bolt up to the 3rd gen exhaust ports. therefore, you can take the series 5 turbo to bryan at bnr and have him upgrade it to a to4 with a
62-1 wheel. this upgrade costs around 1k. you then get a 3 in 2nd gen downpipe from racing beat. have a midpipe (cat) made. have the turbo/smic crossover pipe made. get some lines made for the oil inlet/outlet (ive heard -6 in and -10 out is a good combo) and your looking at about 400rwhp for around 1500.00!!! now this is all okay, if your fuel system is up to par and you have a programmable ecu. youll need to have an upgraded intercooler also. the higher boost levels will kill the old one and its just plainly a really bad heat exchange system. mine will be made for cheaper as i have had this upgraded turbo sitting around my house for some time and i never used it (i used to have an 89 tII).

also, any comments on this would be great. if anybody has anything to say about this setup please let me know. id like to get all my ducks in a row. thanks.
