What sort of engine mods do you run with the BW?. Cant go wrong with the BW and its price plus their rebuild-able, if im not mistaken. I use to have a Gt42r but a so called professional garage decided they would put EGT sensors which protrude by 2'' into the runners, obviously it broke off and F...d the whole turbo up. I haven't got My BW up and running yet but it good to here it can spool.

Ain't down. Lol. I'm actually running it. Turbo is still fukd by my standards, but comp says its fine. The turbo is literally stuck after a drive and I check it in the morning. The shaft is dancing and like I said it seems stuck, also doesn't spin on start up until after a few minutes.
I'm really thinking about buying a S400-sx 67mm Borg to see how that does. My s475 flows 98lbs per minute and the S400-sx 67mm flows 94lbs per minute. So another update will come soon. lol.

I'm unfamiliar with the triplex bearing preload arrangement that Comp Turbo uses (so this is compete speculation), but it appears that your "sticky" rotating group is caused by the bearings being loaded slightly. It's not easy to set the preload perfectly, but too loose and you'll have fore-aft slop (bad), and too tight will bind-up the shaft. It's possible that your preload is slightly high, but it may still be acceptable (in-tolerance), especially if it spins freely when up to operating temp. It may even loosen-up in time once it's run-in. Wouldn't expect this to affect the power the turbo makes or the overall lifespan, so as long as there's oil getting to the bearing, you may be fine.
Do you have another theory? Are you sleeping OK?

Oh trust me they have seen it. This is the 3rd unit they have sent me. Justin at comp turbo has been very helpful and always answered my calls. I've just never seen a turbo do such foolery. Lol. I might put it on the dyno tomorrow to see what it can do.
Quick question! If my wastage is a 1 bar spring shouldn't I see that amount of boost whenever I go full throttle? My Borg would hit 14.7 consistently, this turbo is a hit or miss sometimes. 13.8, 14.0, 13.6, etc. Someone said that with a turbo that flows more air it will force the wastegate open sooner and that's why I'm not hitting my desired boost level. Hmmm.

^^^^that's the thing. Nothing changed. I use to have a rock solid 14.7psi showing on my boost gauge. I have three to choose from. Lol. Defi unit, my Eboost2, and the pfc. Just the turbo change and now the fluctuation. Hmmm. And I'm suppose to get a tune on the 25th. I'm gonna see what the tuner says when he sees the car.
