comp housings

I had a turbo built for me and was disapointed when the compressor only had a 3 inch inlet. Everything else is 60-1 specs though. I was expecting a 4 inch inlet and .70 a/r comp.

My question is can a .60 a/r comp be milled to act like a .70 a/r? He says that's why its a 3 inch inlet instead of 4 inch. He didnt have a comp cover with a 4 inch (.70 a/r i presume) so he used a 3 inch comp cover ( .60 a/r I presume) and milled it out so its flows like a .70 a/r.

Thanks for any responses

I have never heard of this. A .6 AR is a .6 AR no matter how big the inlet is.

Compressor A/R is determined by dividing the radius of the compressor housing by the smallest diameter of the compressor outlet .
