coils ?

before i went single my ingition would break up at the high end, so I add a crane hi 6. And it worked, but now that I have a single turbo it is breaking up again at 10 psi. I'm using 9s all around, does the plugs need to be cooler or is there something wrong with my stock coil. Is there a way to check the coils to see if there bad.

I run 14 PSI on a T04S with no breakup at all and I have used both the stock 7/9 combo as well as all 9s (what I run now), so plug selection is probably not your problem as long as they are new plugs.

I would make sure the plugs and wires are clean and in good shape, making good contacts. After that, I'd try to pick up another set of coils. I got a used set for my car as a backup for ~75 bucks or so just in case.

I do not know of any procedures to check the coils other than what's in the service manual which is fairly basic.

What's your A/F? If it's really rich then you could see what would appear to be ignition breakup...

I had bad breakup so I added a MSD 6a with no luck.

I added 11's "Spark Plugs" and it cured everything......

Gary,I know how to test them with the olm meter so when you come up to the shop we can test the coils okay.....
