yeah you were right. From what kilo said it's got so much power that in when you punch it in 2nd it does nothing but spin. Same thing in 3rd and part of 4th gear so needless to say I'm stoked and as soon as it is put on the dyno I'll let you guys know the numbers. thanks again man!

So what are the numbers, I'm tired of waiting. Maybe you made more than me...I just threw my old set up together.

Rofl, Still not sure yet. I gotta call him to see if he is going to dyno it before I get there after the first or if he is going to wait till I get there and we start uping the boost. I'll let you know either way. Even though you just threw your setup together it was a beast! I'm not sure if mine will make more but as long as it's on par with yours, that's all I can ask for

Well considering that I had an uber small core. I also had IC leaks, on high boost it wouldn't hold full boost all the way. I'm sure I could have made more too

Agh we'll see this spring hopefully it should be decently nasty so to speak. I hate to be a benchracer so we'll leave it at that

Hahah! I know I keep trying to figure out why I've been slacking these past years.

Oh well now is now. I'll get some pix coming of the new parts. I have a lot of parts ceramic coated. Im debating on having the housings hand polished.

Actually, I didnt anticipate going 13B-RE, I came upon a good deal. At the time I was replacing my S5 irons...so I figured why not go with mint 20k mi RE's?

I had no idea you had an 13bre! See if I would have had one of those kilo probably would have been alright not adding dowl pins to it before tuning. Next motor I got with is going to be an RE though, they are about the same price as a jspec 13bt. Well yeah can't wait to see what your setup does. I keep watching this movie of yours but it must be old being you still have the 13bt in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwT44dEPD8M . So did you have brian port the RE motor? Also what did you end up doing with the other motor?

Here is a short vid of mine before I took it to get tuned just incase anyone is interested.

As long as this turbo passes the test of time and can make roughly 500hp doing it, I'll be a happy camper

Yep, went RE...its taking a bit longer, as you know its more expensive. The first thing I did was have Brian port it. As for my old one....it bit the dust. My RE is being pinned before I put it together. Found some custom pins and had them locally machined.

well they tuned it, now they just have to dyno it. I'll call him today to see when that's going to happen. I understand he wanted to tune it on the street since it's not a full out drag car and will be used on the streets from time to time, I'm just not sure why he hasn't dyno'd it. Like I said, he's probably waiting till I go down there after the first.

So you were actually driving on that setup for a while? No apex seals went through the turbo huh? What do you think caused your engine problems? One things for sure, I wouldn't mind some RE sized dowl lands

yeah i drove with that set up for a while . but i guess my driving and pump gas dont mix. eventually the oil control rings gave out and it started to burn oil real bad., it left the irons scoredd and pitted. im sure some apex seals went thru a few times...turbo ran good too. on 1 bar i could almost run against anything. lm pinning the new irons around the dowel area

hum.... I didn't know pump gas and high hp could cause damage or premature failure of the oil control rings.... Interesting. The seals themselves gave out of the rings?

ahhh ok makes sense. Well I just heard from kilo again and he said we'll go to the dyno when I go to pick the car up. So no dyno results till then but I can feel things finally coming together Not sure what these turbos can support boost wise but I'm figuring 20-22psi will be where I stop......for now

it should a little over 500rwhp at that boost level. i saw 23 psi once when i was on my dyno session i didnt get to see what it made it only spiked. i think B is running 21psi on the t70 right now

Good to know. I made 500rwhp my goal only because I spent an *** load of money on this build and anything less would just be dissapointing, lol. How is B doing these days? I haven't seen him update his alky injection thread in about 3 months or so.

Should be fun I've got a lot of seat time before I'll beable to control all 500hp but that's what it's all about. Hopefully with this motor I'll get all the practice I need on the strip. Next motor will be the RE i'm figuring.
