ceramic T45 shaft v's to4 steel shaft

has anybody had any experience using the large t45 ceramic style turbos compared with a steel to4 p or q trim.....
are they streetable with there large but lite turbine wheels?

i think they have been around for a while. they are truck style turbos, but i notice the australians use them a lot in there high powered street cars or drag cars 400rwkw range. check this one out on ebay

i think he was confused b/c you said ceramic shaft, not turbine wheel. I'm sure its much lighter than a conventional material wheel and should surely stand the heat of the rotary. That turbo is almost the same as the one I have minus the ceramic wheel. I got my turbo from that seller as well, and was pleased with the transaction.

what spec was the turbo?
when does the power come in?
and is it on a ported motor?

sorry, turbo is not installed yet, just sitting on the floor waiting... sad, i know... Specs are the same as that I believe, but I think he mislabelled the comp. inducer, it should be 63mm not 52mm. If so, then my turbo is the exact same minus the ceramic wheel of course. Turbo will be on a half-bridge rew motor. Does anybody have any other input on the ceramic wheel? Seems as tho the lighter weight would increase spool a great deal, but how does the wheel hold up? It would also not have as good of boost recovery as the heavier wheel seems like it would keep the turbo spinning pretty well.
