Bung for EGT probe.

I have a Greddy 52mm EGT gauge and an HKS cast manifold. The manifold already has a female thread and the EGT probe also has a female thread. Can anyone tell me where to get a threaded nipple to mate this 2 together. I went to home depot and i didnt find a nipple that fits. Any suggestions????

lol the greddy egt bung is metric thred and home depot isnt going to carry jack. find a local tractor shop that has alot of fittings or you can try and retap the cast iron or even weld it

Usually the ex temp guage will come with a femal-femal connector for the sensor.. did you loose it, or was it not in the package? What kind of ex temp guage is it??

fcturbo2, the bung is a 1/4 NPT fitting i think. I just did these awile back and thought it was weird that the Greddy egt fitting needed a standard thread.

here's what you need to do...

go here: http://www.greddy.com/products/electronics.htm#GA

then order part 16400003 from a Greddy dealer. it is a pressure fitting. you might be able to find a similar fitting elsewhere for a lot cheaper. get the male end of the fitting welded onto your pipe. that should do it...

I'm sure I can probably pick one up for you over here and they probably have one in stock down at Auto Shop Turbo... , but I'm not sure when I'm going to be able to get to that part of the island, It's probably around $5-10 or so knowing them.. I'd need to know what type of gauge it is though. Greaddy changed their sensor type last year somtime and they now use the same sensor as the Defi guages... Can you get me a pic of the guage and the sensor?
